Located inside Roman & Williams Guild in Soho, La Mercerie by Chef Marie-Aude Rose celebrates the thoughtful delight of everyday French cooking. The full café, due to open in February, will serve breakfast, an all-day menu, wine and craft cocktails. Delicious pastries and coffee will always be available at the grab and go counter.

While the restaurant is getting ready, the café will offer pastries and coffee during the day and cocktails in the early evening. Feel free to stop by while strolling among the lovely items for purchase at the Guild.

MEET THE LEAD CHEF

Marie-Aude
Rose

Raised in a bon vivant home, Marie-Aude Rose began to discover her path early, cooking often with her grandparents in Paris and the French countryside. After an experimental time studying at the Sorbonne and as a theater actress, she came to the realization that she loved being in kitchens best, and has been there since.



Marie-Aude holds two diplomas from l’Ecole Ferrandi, and has worked in many Michelin starred restaurants. She first met her husband Daniel Rose at his restaurant Spring, and they have been cooking together since. In 2016 the couple moved to America, where Daniel opened Le Coucou. With La Mercerie, Marie-Aude is excited to bring her talents to New York, and has been reexamining the sustenance of her childhood.
